This coming Sunday, the Fourth Sunday of Easter, is traditionally called “Good Shepherd Sunday” after the Gospel of the day. It is also the World Day of Prayer for Vocations.
The Archdiocese of Cardiff currently has five men in formation for priesthood. It costs the diocese approximately £27,000 per annum to keep each seminarian in formation. Daniel, Robert, Nick, Jonathan and Laurence will be visiting parishes in the diocese to make the annual appeal for the Priest Training Fund.
As part of the appeal, the Archbishop has distributed a leaflet to each parish. On the back of the leaflet you can find a ‘Gift Aid’ form. If you are a UK taxpayer and make a donation to the Priest Training Find using the form, the diocese can claim back 25p in every £1 pledged from the government.
If you wish to make a donation to the Priest Training Fund you can download the pledge leaflet here. Simply send the leaflet with your pledge (cheques made payable to ‘Archdiocese of Cardiff Priest Training Fund’) to:
Priest Training Fund,
41-43 Cathedral Road,
