The Sisters of St Joseph (of Annecy) are known thought the diocese for their work around our parishes and, until recently, St Joseph’s Hospital and St Anne’s Hospice in Newport.
The sisters have just launched a new website entitled ‘Who we are’ to provide information to women who may be considering a vocation to the religious life. As Pope Francis reminded us recently, women within the Church have an important part to play. Modelling in the example of Our Lady, women have somewhat a more important role within the Church than the clergy.
